In March, New England Patriots‘ Rob Gronkowski put his retirement plan on hold, but it still unsure where the five-time All-Pro tight end will play to start the 2018 NFL season. According to the Boston Sports Journal‘s Greg Bedard, teams around the league still think there is a great possibility that Gronkowski could be on the move this summer.
“Where’s the restructure of his contract?” said one AFC personnel executive. “Until that’s done, I think he’s still available. I wouldn’t be surprised if Belichick is going to test Gronk’s buy-in with the contract.”
This seems like a story that has not gone away and is certainly not dead yet. Although Gronkowski is one of the most exciting tight ends of his generation, he has had his fair share of struggles staying healthy throughout his career.
The Houston Astros are two games behind the Boston Red Sox in the American League, but second-place has not slowed down the defending MLB champions from donating the All-Star Game. According to Sean Pendergast of the Houston Press, five players from the Astros have been selected to the MLB’s American League All-Star roster: (Jose Altuve, Justin Verlander, Gerrit Cole, George Springer, and Alex Bregman.
One year after sending six players to the 2017 MLB All-Star Game, the Houston Astros will again have a heavy presence at the Midsummer Classic, after the announcement Sunday evening that five Astros have been selected to the 2018 All-Star Game, which will be played next Tuesday night at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.
This marks the third time the Astros have sent five or more All-Stars to the game (2017, 1994).
