In You Can Argue That Sports first NBA Morning Recap, LeBron James drops a season-high 51 points in the Lakers 113-97 victory over the Miami Heat.
Remember when? These words must have been uttered nearly 100-times as LeBron James put on a remarkable show in front of his old team. Following a loss to the Orlando Magic, the Los Angeles Lakers came away victorious in a 113-97 win over the Miami Heat, Sunday night, in the American Airlines Arena in Miami.
While recording his first win in South Beach since 2010, James led the way once again for the Lakers with a season-high 51 points. He was nearly unstoppable as the four-time MVP shot an efficient 19-for-31 (61.2 %) from the field and 6-for-8 (48.0%) from behind the 3-point arc.
After pouring a quick 19-points in the first quarter, James became the fifth player in league history to score 50-plus points with three different franchises.
In other great performances around the association, Damian Lillard dropped 40-points in the Portland Trail Blazers 119-109 win over the Washington Wizards. The Golden State Warriors lost their third straight game in a 104-92 loss against the San Antonio Spurs. Warriors have now dropped five of their last seven games.
