Browns vs. Texans week 13
Last meeting: (Week 6: October 15, 2017 in Houston, Texas. Texans def. Browns 33-17.)
Fresh off of making history last week, the Texans are playing game 2 of their 3-game home stretch today vs the Cleveland Browns. The Texans are looking to extend their 8-game winning streak to 9 today versus the NFL’s youngest and upcoming teams.
On paper, the Texans are once again the better team. They are head above heels better than the Browns in most team stats, including total offense, points scored, points allowed, total team defense, and points allowed. From top to bottom, the Texans are a more talented team than the Browns.
This game has “trap game” written all over it. The Browns currently have a 4-6-1 record, but let’s not be fooled. They are on a two game winning streak and have one of the premier signal callers in Baker Mayfield, who is getting extremely comfortable under center. I don’t imagine that the Texans are overlooking this game, but they must be prepared to handle business today or else their win streak will be broken today.
However, I don’t see the Texans being took by surprise today, so this game will go one way today.
The Texans will find a way to win
I expect the Browns to be excited with an opportunity to take on the NFL’s hottest team. They have an opportunity to finally end the win streak, so I expect their best shot. They will be scrappy all game and give the Texans all that they wanted. However, the Texans will absorb the Browns best shot and still move forward. The win streak will be extended to 9 games today.
FINAL SCORE: Browns 19 Texans 27
