Just the day after losing Kareem Jackson and Tyrann Mathieu, the Texans make their first big free agent signing to help fix their secondary today. The Texans sign former Jaguars safety Tashaun Gispson to a 3 year, $22 million contract.
Gispon, a Texas naive, recorded 159 tackles and 6 interceptions during his two year stint with the Jaguars. In his 7 year career, the 28 year old has recorded 399 tackles, 20 interceptions, and 2 defensive Tds.
More than likely Gipson is going to be the new starting Free Safety and will be paired with Strong Safety Justin Reid.
