Week 7: Texans vs. Colts
Last Match-up: 2019 playoffs wildcard round, January 5th, 2019 in Houston Texans. (Colts def. Texans 21-7)
In this divisional match-up, this will be a test for the Texans. How will they respond after one of their more significant wins last week against Kansas City? We’ve seen them come up flat against Carolina after defeating the Los Angeles Chargers the prior week.
The Colts will be without CB Kenny Moore, S Malik Hooker, and WR Parris Campbell today. Expect the Texans to take advantage of a beat up Colts secondary today. The Texans will be without their key players, RT Tytus Howard and CB Bradley Roby. Losing Roby is critical as the Texans battle one of their top villains, WR T.Y. Hilton.
This is a match-up that is going either two ways today.
1. The Texans come out flat and lose against the Colts
The Texans are still on a high from last week. They struggle against the Colts, while T.Y. is T.Y. and proceeds to dominate the Texans as he knows how to. The Texans lose on a last second FG and leave Indianapolis 4-3.
2. The Texans take care of business and handle Indy.
On paper, the Texans are a better team. They have a better offense than the Colts and at this point a better defense. The Colts are not healthy on defense. If the Texans offense continues to play well, they should have no problem scoring 30+ points for a third week in a row. The Texans knows they are a better team and acts like it today, winning convincingly.
The Texans win this game by at least 10 points. the Texans are 3-1 in their last 4 games in Indy. I don’t see them sleepwalking on a rival like they slept walk vs. Carolina. While the Colts will put up a fight, I don’t think they have enough to defeat the Texans. WR Deandre Hopkins is due for a big game. I see him with 9 Receptions, 120+ yards, and 2 TD’s. The Texans win big in Indy and proceed to 5-2.
FINAL SCORE: Texans 34 Colts 21
