Antonio Brown’s apology tour continues as he expresses remorse for how things ended with Steelers QB, Ben Roethlisberger.
On an Instagram post, Brown posted a picture of Roethlisberger and himself in a happy place with the caption “ I never realized how good I had it.”
The two had their share of good years in Pittsburgh, but the relationship between them deteriorated towards the end of Brown’s Steeler career. Roethlisberger’s statements on his weekly radio show about Brown’s bad route that resulted in an interception against the Broncos, caused the divide to worsen.
Roethlisberger said “Brown needed to run his route ‘flat; on a third-down, goal-line interception in the final minutes of Sunday’s 24-17 loss to Denver. Roethlisberger also said he wished he had thrown to JuJu Smith-Schuster on all four downs at the goal line.”
Since then, Brown has said he and Ben were never friends, threaten a trade along with other remarks towards his former QB, of which he referred to Roethlisberger as having an owner’s mentality, claiming “there’s a lack of respect”.
Within the span over the last week, Brown has apologized for a lot of his actions, including his incident with the Hollywood, FL police department.
“I think I owe the whole NFL an apology and my past behavior,” Brown told ESPN’s, Josina Anderson. “I think I could have done a lot of things better.”
