Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has been named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player for the second straight season — according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
After receiving the honor, Antetokounmpo has become the third player in NBA history to win MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season, joining Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon.
During the regular season, the 25-year-old superstar helped the Bucks capture a league-best 56-17 record while averaging 9.5 points, 13.6 points and 5.6 assists in just 30.4 minutes per game.
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Houston Rockets star James Harden were the other finalists. LeBron — who currently holds four MVPs, put up 25.3 points on 49.3 percent from the field, 7.8 boards, a league-leading 10.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
