According to reports, Houston Texans inside linebacker Benardrick McKinney has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
The Houston Texans were hit by major news Monday afternoon, 24 hours since recording their first win of the season. Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, inside linebacker Benardrick McKinney has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
McKinney, 27, will undergo season-ending surgery on his shoulder, which forced him to miss Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
In his absence, Tyrell Adams received most of the defensive snaps, as he recorded a career-high 13 total tackles (seven solo hits, six assists) and a fumble recovery — the first of his NFL career.
With the Texans on the verge of turning their season around after an 0-4 start, Houston will need more players like Adams to step in for the injured McKinney.
Hosts: Coty Davis and John Hickman
